Congratulations Joe & Susan

A fun collage from their wedding day

Joe and Susan exchanged vows on October 3, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakersfield, CA and had a fun reception with friends and family at the Panda Palace.  Their theme colors were red and gold and they did a great job of blending cultures and traditions to celebrate their love!

We took photos at the church, inside and out and then went around downtown for a good variety of contemporary and classic images.  Here are some of our favorites from their wedding day!  Family and friends who want to see more can do so by following this link and then entering the Username: Saelee Wedding and then the password given to you by Joe and Susan.

The Kiss

This is why it's a good idea to turn your phone off! Joe was held up on the phone while we all waited to take some portraits with the bridal party. So I encouraged the bridal party to "exaggerate their frustrations with waiting."

Once Joe got off the phone he said he was ready. He didn't know we had already started to take photos.

We told Joe to "strut his stuff" for this which in turn only cracked him up. Which we expected it to. There are a lot from this series that just make you laugh when you see them. Thanks for being such a great sport, Joe!

Bride and Groom going for a quick walk downtown. I love the juxtaposition of their newness and the old crumbling building in the background.

I rendered this one to further enhance the timeless, rosy feeling it gives.

We like to get unexpected shots and angles -like how a couple looks from above!

Just after these bridesmaids made their toast Joe and Susan eached hugged one. I love how Alex caught this moment -It is as if you are standing right there watching it happen.
