There are times (not often enough if you want to know the truth) when things come together in just the right way — like The Perfect Storm except the result isn’t a bad thing. Instead it’s a little bit of heaven right here on earth. Last night we got an unexpected break in our schedule, we had a few children’s portraiture ideas we wanted to try and we were blessed by our two little ones being semi-cooperative, both at the same time. Imagine that!
We can’t begin to tell you how grateful we are when things like this happen. Just like everyone else, we get busy with all the goings-on in life (like raising children and running a business) and before we know it we’ve let more time slip by than we intended since the last time we took formal portraits of our two girls. You’d think we’d know better. After all, who better than professional photographers to understand how priceless good portraits become over time?
But, as they say, life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans. Maybe just like you we also need a reminder every few months that this experience—this crazy, wonderful experience of watching our kids growing up before our eyes—is happening on a one way street: we can’t go back and get photographs of how it was.
