Molen Family Portraits (Part 1)

Last Saturday Alex & I had the great pleasure of doing a family portrait session with our dear friends, Isaac & Niki and their three adorable children. Despite it being unusually cold and even raining on us a bit -we all had a blast.

I just started to work on their images and I usually never post images until I am done working on them (because I never know where Photoshop and my imagination will take me) but today is Niki’s birthday!!! So I just had to pick a few I thought would bring some birthday cheer and post them for her. I will make a “Part 2″ post soon with more from their session.

“Happy Birthday Niki!” -enjoy these. I cannot wait to show you all the rest of your pictures!!!

I think this first one will look awesome as a large gallery-wrapped canvas print (because it’s square you could rotate it and change it up every-now-and-then).

Because it’s your birthday, Niki, I had to work on the romantic ones of you & Isaac first! :-) (And to think we almost didn’t get to do these ones because it got so dark and cold with the mini-storm that came in. I am glad we got creative with our limited lighting -I love how they turned out!)

The minute I saw this next one in the back of the camera I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to render it in such a way that it said love is ancient, yet truly timeless. Isaac & Niki are such a sweet and loving couple -they have a “Timeless Love.”
